Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 30, 2026

1. What this site is

Tiff Zhang Labs ("we" / "us") is the collection of web apps at labs.tiffzhang.com and related paths. These apps are static: we do not run our own application servers or databases that store your usage or content for the site as a whole. We use Google Analytics (GA4) to track usage data only if you accept it in the cookie banner.

2. Information involved

  • Optional analytics. If you accept, GA4 may collect aggregate usage data (pages, rough device or browser type, etc.) under Google's policies. If you reject, we do not load GA4. Your choice is stored in your browser (for example in localStorage); clear site data for this domain to reset it.
  • On your device only. Individual apps may save preferences or progress in your browser. That stays on your device unless a feature explicitly uses a third-party service you sign into.
  • Third-party accounts. If you connect Google, Google Drive, Spotify, or similar, those companies process data under their own terms and privacy notices. We only receive what is needed for the feature you turned on.
  • Hosting. Like any website, our host and CDN may create ordinary technical logs (for example IP address and request time) when your browser loads files. We do not use those logs to build profiles beyond what the host provides for operations.

3. Cookies

GA4 may set cookies or use similar storage if you opted in. You can change your mind anytime via the banner (after clearing the saved choice), your browser's site data controls, or Google's own tools and policies.

4. Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Sharing is limited to the services above (analytics and hosting, and providers you connect yourself).

5. Retention

Analytics retention follows Google's settings and policies. Data kept only on your device is under your control.

6. International visitors

The site is served from the United States. Using it may involve processing in the U.S. or other regions where Google or our host operates.

7. Your choices

Use Accept or Reject on the banner for analytics, clear site data to reset the banner, or use your browser's privacy settings. For data held by Google or Spotify, use their account and privacy tools.

California residents: we do not sell personal information as that term is commonly used under the California Consumer Privacy Act.

8. Children

These tools are not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children for our own analytics or accounts. Optional GA4 does not load until an explicit choice on the banner.

9. Changes

We may update this page and change the effective date above when we do.
